The Republic of Georgia, the world's oldest known wine growing region, is on the Black Sea's west coast and shares borders with Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey. This amber wine is from the indigineous Kisi grape and produced in the traditional Georgian qvevri method, which involves fermenting and aging the wine in burried clay vessels buried in the ground. It's full-bodied, with complex flavors and aromas of dried apricot, honey, almonds and nutmeg. Enjoy well chilled on its own or with eggplant stuffed with feta and sausage or Georgian specialties like kebob Mtsvadi style
