Relatively unknown in the USA, Menetou-Salon is a region near Sancerre and produces wines on par with those from Sancerre. Morogues is a blend wine from seven parcels from the highest slopes of the appellation. This cool, sunny climate and this soil (Kimmeridgian marl) produces a light bodied, elegant wine with flavors and aromas of orange blossom, lemon zest with minerals and salt in the finish. Enjoy well chilled on its own or with light fish, poultry, sharp cheeses and garden salads.
