Bonarda is a grape of uncertain origins. It's not the same grape as the Italian Bonarda. Argentine Bonarda is said to be Douce noir aka Charbono from Savoy on the French Italian border. This easy drinking, medium bodied red is vinted in stainless steel tanks then aged in concrete tanks. Flavors and aromas of black cherries with notes of cola and anise. It's enjoyable on its own or pasta marinara, pizza and other casual meals.
